This was our second retreat and it was even better than the first! The staff make you feel like you're part of the family. Michael and Kelsey have a unique and effective way of teaching that gets results nearly instantly. Looking forward to number 3!

It was everything i thought it was going to be and more

Excellent horse retreat in learning new skills in using your legs to guide and stop your horse. Things you will learn during this retreat are: using your legs to spin, stop and side pass. These are all in preparation to go bridleless! The ultimate goal of riding with your horse. You chase real cows and mechanical cows, learn to rope and use spurs. I had so much fun in cantering and chasing the mechanical cow as fast as I could ride. Always a great time with friends and meeting new friends with the great Gascon family with so much hospitality.

I had no expectations as I had never been. My mind was blown on the professional but fun way the retreat was run. The accommodations were awesome while the learning was great. I had so many ahh ha moments and was on cloud nine most of the retreat. I was so impressed that I am returning for the cattle retreat. I highly recommend this program. My husband, who is a non horse person, said he actually learned a lot and if he was ever to get on a horse, he would do it under Micheal’s supervision. The money was so well spent. You will not regret going!!!!

It’s fantastic!! You’ll receive all information about the types of bit to use on horse, how to keep the horse collected, learn how to walk, trot and canter, how to seat on the saddle , leg cue, how to hold the rein. He starts with each horse that’s is new to check how conditions they are and correct them with a quick tune up. There’s also a lot of events to keep things interesting like pool noodle fight in the runder dome, calltle sorting, soccer game , horse show , trail ride and paso pino ride and last but not least a fantastic 3 home cooked meal a day. 😋

Hey All, I just came back from the famed sold out cattle Retreat with Michael. Wow! Just Wow! We had so much fun while we were learning the ins and outs of cows. From cutting and sorting to chasing the mechanical cow in the outdoor arena, we did it all. We even got roping lessons. Even though I did not get to bring my horse, I still had a great experience. Michael is such a great person to learn all the ins and outs of cattle. Learning at these retreats are fun also. I can’t recommend this retreat highly enough.

Excellent Halter! Extremely versatile, you can use it as a halter or add a clip to the bottom and it becomes a bridle!

Michael Gascon obviously loves teaching and is extremely knowledgeable! He not only teaches you a lot, he answers all your questions and he makes it fun. I highly recommend you attend one of his retreats.

I HAVE A PONY. THE LEAD ROPE IS A LITTLE LONG FOR ME AND A LOT OF ROPE TO HOLD IN YOUR HAND WHILE TRAINING. I SOMETIMES GET TANGLED UP IN THE ROPE. I JUST BOUGHT A HORSE, SO I DO NOT WANT TO SHORTEN THE LEAD ROPE. THE METHOD USING IT WORKS, JUST NEED MORE PRACTICE USING IT.

hAVE A PONY THAT SPOOKS. HE WOULD RUN OFF WITH ME. WHEN I PUT THE MG HALTER ON HIM, I WAS ABLE TO STOP HIM FROM RUNNING AWAY WHEN HE SPOOKED.

Love it, just wish they had the brown halter and rope available too!

Best halter bridle ever

Great training lead rope, attached to the MG training halter. The combo set is perfect for training your horse. I have two sets and use them all the time.
