The knots on the noseband add additional enforcement to the horse’s face when a lead rope or the reins add pressure. The Kidney Knot (Big Knot At The Bottom Of Halter) Is Designed For Adjusting The Noseband Size And If A Horse Sits Back While Tied To Cross-Ties WITHOUT The Double-Ended Clip Keeping The Kidney Knot From Coming Out, That Knot Will Untie Itself. If You Have A Horse That Sits Back, We HIGHLY Suggest Hard Tying To Something That Is Not Breakable. This Will Ensure The Safety For You And Your Horse, As Well As The Lifetime Guarantee With The Halter. They Are Designed To Withstand A Horse Sitting Back In This Situation.
